    He was born in 1978 in Izmit. He started playing block flute and harmonica at the age of 9. Later he studied Classical and Electric guitar. He started playing bass guitar, composing and arranging in two different music groups named "Capricorn" and "bdg", which he founded recently. He studied jazz bass at Pera Fine Arts High School and especially from Nezih Yeşilnil. He worked as a concert and studio musician, working with many different groups and artists. He also played contrabass with "Swing Istanbul All Stars" group and took part in many international festivals and concerts. He was the arranger and director of the folk music artist Özgür Akdemir's album "Where are you". Istanbul University State Conservatory Instructor Associate he gave many concerts with Cihan Yurtçu and Özgür Akdemir. Umut Yenilmez was a guest artist in Radio 7 and Istanbul University Radio Communication, which has been on the programs of many national channels such as TRT, CNNTurk, Star TV, Kral TV. He started to transfer his knowledge and experience through various music schools and private lessons. With the idea that it would be a more productive study, he prepared the bass guitar method and note / bona training books. Umut Yenilmez, who wrote his name in many albums made in Turkey and abroad, formed the 22 inch band. Utopya Music has released a 6-track composition album in Alternative Rock style on March 6, 2020.
