TREVOR GORDON… Music Composer, Arranger, Producer, Performer and Artist, moved to the United States in January 1980 from South Africa. He attended the Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, where he studied Film Scoring, Composition, Harmony & Orchestration. Trevor has composed and conducted music for small ensemble groups, Big Band and Orchestra covering music styles from all modern day genres. All these levels of study enabled him to be universally creative throughout his 40+ years in the music and media industry.
Trevor was hired as “In-House” Music Composer, Producer and Music Supervisor for a very large TV/Film Production Company based in Los Angeles, where his responsibilities included being hands-on during all pre and post production phases, creating additional sound-design, composition of original music and producing all live recording sessions and final audio-visual mixes.
Trevor was signed as a Recording Artist with Pony Canyon Records, Japan where he recorded and produced his original contemporary jazz album “BROTHER TIME”. The album was released in Japan and South East Asia in August 1995 and quickly hit the top “10” charts.
Trevor’s journeys as an accomplished bass player and keyboard player have enabled him to perform live with many artists and groups taking him through Africa, Asia, Europe and USA. Trevor currently resides in Los Angeles where he continues to evolve and be involved in the many facets of the forever changing music and media industries.
