  • About

Being a 1st generation brit from a mixed background (Mother Sierra Leone + Greek – Father St Lucian) Sense has always been surrounded by culture and a wide variety of music. Born and raised in London, England Sense is the 2nd oldest child out of 3. Having seen his uncle (De Champ) gain continental success in Africa, with the ‘original afrobeats sound’ Sense drew a huge liking to the melodic sound and energy the music brought. At home he became accustomed to music his mother will play from James Brown, Sister Nancy, Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye to name a few. Classics from genres including 50-60s jazz/swing, 70s soul, 80s funk plus Reggae and sub- genres loversrock & revival, helped shape sense’s soulful sound. Brought up on the Belton Way council estate and with the rise of UK sound growing rapidly it wasn’t long before Sense and his peers embarked on a musical journey which inevitably became known as Grime. He always maintained and developed relationships and dipped in and out of music (formerly a member of Wiley’s Eskibeat Recordings w/ Bless Beats, Maniac and Zeph Ellis and Age is Nothing w/ Shizz, Maxsta and Realz,) collaborating, featuring and working with artists/producers such as Rowntree, Izzie Gibbs and Tinchy Stryder. 2019 signals the return of the free-flowing creative that is Sense. With a tour planned for early next year and a host of single releases to follow Summer Lovin’ expect big things from him.
