Most recently I spent a 5 months writing on Music Row in Nashville after taking part in APRA SongHubs Nashville. Over there I wrote with great writers like Jesse Walker, Robert Ellis Orall, Jerry Salley, Phil Barton, Ward Davis & Kim Richey. I also represented Sounds Australia at the Americana Festival in Nashville. I wrote "Rock n Roll Town" with Jasmine Rae that’s the number one track off her ARIA nominated album "If I Want To" and wrote " We Don't Know Any Other Way" another song on her latest release, "Heartbeat". I've also written 8 songs with Mark Holden (Australian Idol) and continue to write with a diverse range of great artists. The Choir of Hard Knocks use a song I wrote called, Will Sing For Food, and it appears on their latest album. A highlight for me was touring with Ramblin Jack Elliot on his Australian run (and driving him around Australia), and touring Europe (stealing from Dennis Hopper...long story). “The world is full of singer/songwriters clutching their guitars with meaningful words. Fortunately, Rob Draper rises above the pack. Draper has a strangely appealing high, old-young voice, and an accomplished ear for a tune. His songs are lively, heartfelt and lyrically interesting.” The Age
