About

I am an independent singer, songwriter, composer and producer working across the UK and Europe. I tour my own show to theatres, festivals and arts centres as well as guesting with artists such as Joan Armatrading, Lemn Sissay and Robert Plant. Combining lyricism, storytelling and sharp social commentary with violins, keyboards, infectious bass lines, percussion, live looping and - more recently - my own 45-piece choir Navarro Singers - my live show also features illustrations and animations by fellow multi-instrumentalist and co-writer Nicholas Thurston. Our current Summer 2017 tour takes us to Wales, Ireland and arts venues across the UK, collaborating with over 400 professional and amateur choral singers on a new collection songs - 'Firewatching'. I run my own recording studio in the beautiful city of Canterbury in Kent, writing and producing with artists and composing for TV and film under the name Hooky Music. Recent commissions have included forthcoming feature film 'On Chesil Beach' (2017), Marriage - The Film (2017), The Things My Pet Brings Me (TV commercial 2016), Lipstick (Japanese TV commercial 2016), Warrior Poets (Marlowe Theatre / Lemn Sissay 2016), A Heart at Sea (Theatre), Magic and The Muse (2017).
