Sheri Mogul is a seasoned Songwriter, Vocalist and Music Entertainer. I am a seasoned performer, gifted with an actively creative mind having showcased my talents solo as well as with several different live bands in nightclubs, sports bars, concert arenas, indoor/outdoor festivals and corporate events. I have performed both original and cover music for a wide variety audiences of various sizes. I have opened for several national acts such as; Three 6 Mafia, Field Mob, Brian McKnight, Roger Trautman and Zapp, Keke Wyatt, Mikki Blue, Club Nouveau, The Rude Boys, Donell Jones, Jessie Powell, Michael Cooper, The Spinners, Foghat, and MC Brain. I have performed in several music conferences, The House of Blues in Atlanta, GA. As an opening act in a show produced and hosted by poet Coco Brown and Oscar Joyner (son of radio personality Tom Joyner). I spent a week performing At Disney World’s Pleasure Island for Black Music month, with the Rhoney G. Band. In the past several years, I have been booked for performance venues throughout various US states including, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas. My new CD "I AM Me" contains 12 songs all written and performed by me. I am a true lover of music and have a fondness for a wide variety of music (genre and taste). I have been writing my entire life, starting with poetry and stories to songs and screenplays. It would be fair to say that I got my talent from my Trinity (Mother, Father and Holy Spirit). My mother, Shirley Jean wrote songs, poetry and journal entries although she was very private and wasn’t prone to share much of her writings. My father on the other hand, Akwasi Evans was the Owner, Publisher of NOKOA The Observer Newspaper for over 35 years until he made his descent from Earth in 2019. He was as well an activist which is a natural instinct for me as well. To the Creator be the glory for all things because the Holy Spirit is where everything initiates. My talents have been bestowed upon me and entrusted to me by the Most High. My content explores many subject matters, controversial and sexual in theme to some extent so whether you agree or not, it reflects someone’s walk and situation. Music is an amazing platform to communicate, open dialog and bridge gaps., My music is for the people who like my brand of music. It comes from my spirit and I am happy to share it with you.
