    Friends From a Distance [FFaD] is an Indie band from the Toronto Canada area, playing Indie Rock ~ Psychedelic Folk ~ Alternative Country ~ Contemporary Blues. The band was formed by Singer/Songwriter/Musician Brian Carlo along with Bassist Rob Brownlee, Lead Guitar Player Thom Hastings & Drummer Dave Collier in 2012. FFaD also regularly features Multi-Instrumentalist Singer/Songwriter Tim Alberts, who Produces & Engineers the band’s recordings at his “TRUE MUSIC PRODUCTIONS” Studio located in Limehouse (Halton Hills) Ontario. Session Musicians such as Steel Guitar/Dobro Player Steve Smith (Brampton, On) who used to work out of Nashville TN and recorded with the likes of Merle Haggard and Tommy Hunter, Singer Nabi Loney-Bersche (of the contemporary Hamilton, Ontario indie band ELEVATOR), Guitarist Rob Langedyk and Violinist/Fiddle player Suzanne Hnatiw a wonderful musician from Georgetown who recently passed away from cancer. The focus of FFaD is to Record & Perform Original Songs. The creativity of “Friends From a Distance” music touches very real emotions. Typical POP fans may not enjoy their tunes much, but fans of Alternative Rock, Americana / Canadiana, Folk - the music reminiscent of T-Bone Burnett’s work - stark, emotional and honest production that seeps into the individual's soul more deeply and richly with each listen, are going to be inspired that artists who write and present poignant, meaningful lyrics punctuated by textured music are still practicing their craft. Although the public at large rarely are in step, real people will find A diamond in the Rough!!
