G’Zay has often been referred to as the African version of Kanye West. A rapper, super producer and sound engineer. This talented Nairobi-based music guru premiered in the music industry in early 2012 as part of music outfit Wryterz Block that hit the airwaves with records like Hakuna Matata and Press Play that received quite a huge reception by the East African music industry, and on radio stations such as Hot 96, Homeboyz Radio, One FM. He then went on to release more songs since pursuing his solo career that received airplay and recognition on radio stations such as KISS FM, as well as Topping Charts on CAPITAL FM’s top 9 at 9 (Hits Not Homework) On stage, G’Zay is an intimate, compelling performer, who has made a name as one of the most energetic upcoming Kenyan artists. G'Zay as also worked as a producer with some of the biggest african names such as KING KANJA, STELLA MWANGI, WONDABOY, SILVASTONE & THE LATE SHREKEEZY being the brain behind production of their song DOWN FOR MY CITY. He will mix in traditional tunes with his own contemporary Afropop rhythms and bring a synthetic feel in his music. His humorous tales of life on the road and observations of everyday people provide an entertaining blend of story and song. “I have always wanted to bring something of value to East Africa with my songs.
