I was brought up on standards and there's a few songs I've written that fit in that category. I'm from Detroit so I'm heavily influenced by Motown and rock 'n roll. My songs traverse the passages of life . I was a rock n' roll DJ on L.A. radio for 25 years and had the privilege to hear the best rock 'n roll ever written on a daily basis - so I'm highly influenced by great songs.
