After re-locating from Hamilton, ON to Kelowna, BC in the mid-2000’s, Ripped core members Iain Moody Carroll on guitar and Sandra Olender on vocals, are joined by east coast bassist Attila Elek on their forthcoming EP Life’s A Bitch (Outrageous Butterfly Records), produced by Ashton Price of Morph Productions.
Ripped made a name for themselves as a formidable Canadian power pop trio in the early 2000’s, with critically acclaimed album releases like 2002’s Bloodshot (Sextant/EMI), that featured the single and video “The Haunting”.
The 2005 release Blow Your Mind (Sextant/Zing), featuring the Single “Show Me”, which was mixed by Dave “Rave” Ogilvie (NIN, Carly Rae Jepsen), appeared in the award winning TV show “Life’s A Zoo”.
The new Single “Jaded” gives a strong indication of not only where the band has been before, but is also now headed musically with their forthcoming EP release Life’s A Bitch. Music from Life’s A Bitch is featured in the new movie “Demented” from New Blood Entertainment.
