A former member of Canadian "punk" legends The Diodes, Richard embraced electronic music in the early 80s, and became a top club DJ in Toronto in the early 90s.
He has remixed people such as Holly Cole, Paul Hyde and Johnny Dowd., as well as recording 5 albums (including a first ballot Grammy nomination in the dance/electronica category) with his Toronto/Dusseldorf-based synth pop duo LOLA DUTRONIC. They have had several film & television placements, including "The L-Word", worked with Mike "Aladdin Sane" Garson and have toured in Europe with Tom Tom Club (who also appear on their single "Everybody Loves You When You're Dead".
