My songwriting inspirations are the Tin Pan Alley guys like Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Dorothy Fields, and George Gershwin. And I don’t think I’d have even written a song if it weren’t for the musical genius of Sting- his lyrics and contagious melodies shaped so much of my songwriting.
I find lyrical inspiration in literature from Shakespeare to Peter Pan as well as tea and dessert items. I have a degree in Humanities and have also worked at chocolate shops, bookstores, and libraries so you can see that, in my case at least, one writes what one knows.
Some of the places my songs have turned up:
Nashville
Colbert Report
Dance Moms
Big Morning Buzz Live
Breaking Amish
Breaking Amish: Brave New World
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo
Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta
Marido en Alquiler
Shoot the Hero
The Man Who Shot Beautiful Women
