  • About

Damon Leigh, who's lived in L.A. now for many years, was born and raised in New York. He’s a veteran of the United States Navy and a former Glens Falls, NY police officer. He’s lived a life of world travel and widely varied personal and professional experiences. Most recently, Damon's songs can be heard in the motion pictures "Selfie Dad" (2020 - "Nobody Knows My Name" - Click link below to view music video.) and "Big Life" (2023 - Main Title Theme "Eighteen Wheels", along with "Hard Time" and "Nashville" {Is The Place That Holds My Heart}). All of these songs were co-written with his longtime producer and songwriting partner, noted Jazz recording artist and film score composer, Dave Siebels. Damon’s close friend, British singer/songwriter Robbie Patton (“Hold Me” co-written with Christine McVie and recorded by Fleetwood Mac), was once asked by an aspiring songwriter whom he was mentoring how she might improve her own songwriting. Without hesitation, Robbie replied: “You should write lyrics like Damon Leigh.” The young woman was baffled. “Who's Damon Leigh,” she queried. Robbie casually responded: “He’s a man who can write a novel in three minutes!”
