Singer/songwriter, Terry Draper, is best known for his work as a member of Klaatu and co-author of ‘Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft’, which was covered by The Carpenters. Before ‘Klaatu’ (1973-1982), Terry played in a series of Toronto based bar bands as a drummer. Most notably, The Innocence of Virgil Scott. Virgil and Terry remain close friends, (in fact, Virgil appears on his latest release ‘Stranded… with Special Guests’) and is still active in the music business. Catch him performing his amazing rendition of ‘Knock on Wood’. Since the disbanding of Klaatu, Terry has pursued a solo career and has released a number of CD’s, including ‘Light Years Later’, ‘TerryToons’, ‘Civil War… and other love songs’, ‘Aria 52’ and ‘The Furzall Family’. Throughout the ever-changing music scene, Terry has remained true to his love of ‘Pop’ music, Progressive Rock and the grandiose productions of the 60’s & 70’s. Other genres infiltrate his various and varied recordings having been inspired by artists that range from Frank Sinatra to Frank Zappa, Barbra Streisand to The Beatles, The Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, The Beach Boys, etc. And let’s not forget his personal favourite… Peter Sarstedt.
