Nathan David Carlton's music is heard regularly on networks like MTV, HBO, CNBC, Bravo, E!, Nickelodeon, The History Channel & Food Network and BBC Radio 1. Highlights include Keeping Up With The Kardashians, MTV Challenge, VICE News, Dude Perfect, Blood Money, Vegas Cakes, Flipping Out, Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club, Hunt for the Zodiac Killer and Buried: Knights Templar and the Holy Grail.
Carlton began producing original electronic music in the 80's and his first DAW was Opcode's Studio Vision Pro. His day job for 8 years was at Coda Music; now called MakeMusic, makers of music notation software Finale and educational software SmartMusic.
With a love for performance, he has written music for 3 musical theater pieces and participated as a Director in Nautilus Music and Wesley Balk's Opera/Music Theater Institute. He provided sound design for award winning "The Dying Gaul" as performed by Hidden Theater (featuring Brian Baumgartner from "The Office") and experimental dance piece "trickpony" by Sally Rousse (currently the Cowles Center Artist in Residence).
