Richard Earls and Thierry Audousset got together three years ago to write and record twelve songs from Richard’s collection of texts and poems entitled Older Wiser Harder. http://olderwiserharder.blogspot.co.uk A musician for forty years, Richard cut his teeth on classic r&b when he was still at school, plundering his Uncle’s record collection for obscure material to cover. Later, he played in the London jazz/pop scene of the mid-eighties making one single for Paladin/Virgin, and appearing on the CBS compilation LP Get Wise which celebrated that particular movement. Thierry Audousset has been composing, playing and recording music since the mid-eighties. His multiple talents have made the Older, Wiser, Harder project possible; Thierry playing all the instruments, writing the tunes as well as engineering and producing the tracks. A musician since the tender age of seventeen, he has worked in the domains of film, folk, rock, manoush jazz, reggae and, more recently, has set to organising the texts and ideas of Richard Earls into musical form.
