Who is ProKnox Born Moanakoena Martin Motene in Queen II hospital Maseru on February 16, 1986, ProKnox grew up in Lithabaneng Maseru under a very normal family upbringing. He also did his schooling at Mmabathoana High School and Calculus College Kroonstad. He has used music as an escape route to challenges that would hinder him from achieving his dreams. He is a self-taught producer, mixing engineer, mastering engineer and a co-founder of New Generation Music (Established, 2017 Durban). His work flow takes no compromise on music quality, mixing and mastering. ProKnox turned to music production during his tertiary life at the Durban University of Technology Durban in 2009. He initially co-produced Magazi’s album in partnership with Sheer Sound in 2010 together with Dust, a top producer at the Black Mambazo studios. ProKnox has since produced the following artists: • Ace • Joe • Mgazie • DewanPrince • Wonder the Brave • Lekhing Ochre • Katie Reigns • just to mention a few ProKnox has proven to be one of the most versatile producers alive. This is based on the fact that he has produced an array of music genres such House Music, Qhom, Hip Hop, Afro Music, Trap, Electronic House Music, Trance Music, Progressive House Music and RnB. Recently he has produced a South African hip hop artist Wonder the Brave’s EP Next Level 2020 and a hit single by Dewan Prince CocoButter who is originally from Congo. He has also collaborated with various artists in Africa.
