Liam O'Leary is a musician originally from Hobart Tasmania, currently based in Melbourne Victoria. Liam's been performing professionally in a variety of musical contexts since joining his first cover band at the age of 15. For over 10 years Liam has played and recorded with many musicians both nationally and internationally including Dan Barnett, Paul Williamson, Ken Schroder, Nick Haywood, Danny Healy, Pete Cornelius, Christopher Coleman Collective, Mia Palencia, Oh Pep, New Saxons and La Gateau Chocolat.
Liam completed a Bachelor of Music Arts in 2014, while also working as a full time private drum tutor for over 8 years at a number of Hobart leading schools including the UTAS Conservatorium of Music, Hutchins, St Virgil's and Friends.
Liam also writes and performs his original compositions under the title Liam & CO, formed after recording their debut self titled album at Red Planet Studios in Hobart. The tunes were composed by Liam and pianist Kelly Ottaway and was released this years Clarence Jazz Festival. Liam & CO are currently performing in Melbourne and are working on their second album.
