Kent Olofsson is a Swedish composer who is working with many different types of music: classical music, contemporary, electronic music and rock music that is often in the field of art and progressive rock. As a composer of art music he is widely recognized and his music has been internationally performed by the best orchestras, ensembles and musicians in the field and he has been awarded a number of highly prestigious awards as Queen Sofia Composition Prize for Orchestral composition in Madrid Spain 2009, Christ Johnson Prize for his guitar concerto Corde Stockholm 2009 and Uuno Klami prize for his second symphony. In recent years he has been collaborating with the Swedish theatre group Teatr Weimar in a series of acclaimed music-theatre pieces that mixes different kinds of media. He has been working with rock bands Opus Est and Dame Wiggens. Currently he is working with singer and voice artist Zofia William Åsenlöf in their band Zart, an art rock band that mixes a variety of styles in their original song writings, a musical blend that truly creates something new.
