In 2010, veteran musician, writer, composer and producer John Matarazzo partnered with the legendary producer and sound engineer Logan Strand to form LOGICAL DRIFT; a new project with a whole lot of history.
After 30 years of working on major recordings and performing with popular acts, Matarazzo changed the direction of his muse to focus on spiritual projects, pioneering some of the early recordings of Ambient and Electronic music (John Zorn, Jah Wobble, Mick Harris and Buckethead). His success in this genre attracted established world and jazz artists (Ravi Shankar, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Herbie Hancock, Lee “Scratch” Perry, The Gamelan Of Bali, Lata Mangeshcar, The Monks Of Notre Dame, and Buddhist Monks of Maitri Vihar Monastery Tibet) opening the doors to expanded work on world and new age projects. Matarazzo was drawn to immerse himself in the origins of the music of the world. He journeyed to Bali, Indonesia, Sumatra, Tibet, North Africa, Morocco, Mali and Thailand, recording the native sounds along the way.
