MY MISSION I am Jeremy Koeries, aka JK. I am on earth to make music that sounds superb, sets standards and sustains souls. MY SKILLS I am a music and vocal producer, songwriter, arranger, recording engineer and mix engineer. I love giving artists keys to unlock their hidden potential. I play the guitar. I enjoy creating radio jingles, ads and voice-overs. I am fulfilled when making soul, urban gospel, jazz, r&b and hip-hop music. I am an emcee who loves the sound of the electric piano and dabbles in pop-rock production. MY WORK I own and operate EXILIC MUSIC - a project studio in Fish Hoek, Cape Town. I have been privileged to work with artists in South Africa (Judith Sephuma, Neville D, CJay, Ricardo, Tania Michelle, CA City), Kenya, Malawi, Zimbabwe, New Zealand, USA (Sho Baraka, ShamesWorthy, Suzy Rock, Dawntoya), England and Thailand. MY INFLUENCES I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. I was trained on the classical guitar from age 4. I started producing music at age 19 in 1991. I have been influenced by the music of Earth, Wind and Fire, Kool & The Gang, Commissioned, Anita Baker, Dynamic Twins, Tom Brooks, Koinonia, Sade, Toto, Sibusiso Victor Masondo, JB Arthur, J.
