Jason Savory is a Welsh composer, working primarily in Film and Concert Music. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Creative Sound and Music, and a Master of Arts Degree in Composition from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. His influences include; John Williams, Howard Shore, Igor Stravinsky and Ottorino Respighi to name a few.
Jason is also a professional Audio Engineer and Jazz Guitarist. He is most at home writing for Orchestra or Chamber variations therein, however he has also written works for Wind Quintet, Solo Clarinet and Electronics, Symphonic Winds, SATB Choir and other mixed ensembles.
He began composing at the age of 13, though it become a more focused endeavour when he began his university studies. Jason is always learning, and seeking out new techniques and styles, his passion and hunger for knowledge shine through in his music, which is dramatic, narrative led and powerful.
