My name is Jasmine Ortiz I am a young lady, who was born in New York NY but has grown up in small town USA, in a beautiful country setting of the Poconos PA. I was born with the gift of music, singing since age 2, playing piano since age 3, guitar since age 9 and all the other 3 instruments in between. I have been performing since being a toddler age 3 in piano recitals, and won the Miss Pennsylvania Sunburst pageant at age 6 beating out over 30 other girls, going on to receive an Honorable Citation in the House of Representatives by both District Congressman during a live session of the house. Jasmine is a member of SAG/AFTRA since age 10. At age 6 years old I was signed to Abrams Artists New York City, where I have worked as a professional actor both voice, and on screen, stage since first grade. Appearing as a re-occurring role in TV shows such as Dora the Explorer, Sesame street, TV and radio commercials, films and fashion magazines. I am considered to be a gifted student, as a junior in High School, I was inducted into the National Honor Society this year, while taking all AP and honor level classes and graduated high school this year as the Vice President of NHS. In the fall I will be attending the Frost school of Music at the University of Miami, where I was awarded the Presidential scholarship as well as being invited to become a Foote Fellow. I speak three languages, English, Spanish and Chinese Mandarin, which she I have been studying since age 9. Jasmine is also an accomplished equestrian, in the Hunters and Jumpers discipline as well as gymnastics, having studied at the world re-known International Gymnastics school, since age 5.
