Indee is the flower in your rifle, a brief glimpse of hope in a dystopian future. Melding her operatic upbringing with dreamy art pop, jazz flourishes, and a massive cinematic sound, she carves out a niche which is truly her own. The hybrid vocals and unique style have been described as a delicious mingling of Jeff Buckley, Joni Mitchell, and Fiona Apple. Woven from a collection of different musical fabrics, multi-instrumentalist Indee Star (fka Indee Killed the Pop Star) takes her traditional singer-songwriter approach and fluidly combines it with indie pop, folk, dream & bedroom pop, soul, alternative, jazz and classical music with hints of sound healing instruments sparkled in places all to create her own unique blend. Star was named Atlanta’s Best Vocalist of Creative Loafing in 2018, was featured on the “New Music Friday” Spotify playlist the same year and recently had her music played on Atlanta’s NPR on 90.1 WABE.org.
