I first started writing lyrics in 1962 after I heard my first Bob Dylan song. I wrote basically for my own enjoyment and I have continued to this day. In 2014 I sold my Golf Marketing Company and found that I had 3 moving boxes full of things I wrote. May were written in long hand, many on an old fashioned typewriter (In all CAPS as I was and still am a pretty poor typist), some were even written on bar napkins and coasters. It took me one year to retype, spell check, edit, save, print and insert them into three large 3-ring binders. While researching opportunities to self publish a book of poetry, I ran across a few websites who were advertising for lyrics for song demos. To date I have had over 70 demos make by 12 different companies covering the genres: Country, Country Rock, Folk, Folk Rock, Rock and Roll, Pop, Island, Love Songs, and Christian based faith songs. To date I have songs on iTunes, Spotify, Tune Core, Amazon and many other sites. Most of the people who listen to my songs fall in love with the lyrics. I am just a lyricist and really don't know much about music. Heck, I can even read music. But my lyrics make wonderful songs.
