GLENN CRYTZER

About
Glenn Crytzer is a big band leader and jazz guitarist in New York City who focuses on the music of the Jazz Age and Swing Era. His band, the Glenn Crytzer Orchestra, was named "Best Group" in the 2017 NYC Jazz Awards and performs at venues such as the Rainbow Room, Lincoln Center, and the Plaza Hotel. The GCO, and Glenn's smaller combos which are comprised of members of the full band, focus on authentic performance of vintage music as well as on creating new original music that is distinctly in the vintage style. Crytzer's original compositions and arrangements have been licensed for dozens of projects including Network TV, Independent Films, Advertising, Podcasts, and more. Glenn is also available for custom work for TV/Film, writing and recording new music in classic jazz styles, consulting on the use of classic recordings in period programs/films, coaching actors on performing vintage music, and re-recording vintage classics in higher fidelity. His background as an award winning classical composer (BM Florida State University, MM Cleveland Institute of Music) gives him flexibility and expertise in writing for ensembles of different sizes and instrumentations.
