A guitar, an accordion, a suitcase. This is how Gianfranco Foddai started his new adventure in Seattle. After 25 years of music, he hasn’t still figured out what his main instrument is. Sometimes piano, sometimes acoustic guitar, electric guitar, synths, accordion, mandolin, vocals, bass, percussions, electronics… In his motherland, Italy, he moved among different styles of music: from classical piano sonatas to heavy angry guitar riffs, passing by the irish-folk-rock of Gamas Rebeldes to the vintage-funky-soul of the Apollo Beat. As a result, imagine to combine the power riffs of the Rammstein with a button accordion, served with a piano version of an out-of-control harmony of modular synths, plus a touch of grooving noisy guitars, and an irreversible addiction for pasta. This is Gianfranco Foddai and his is music from the world(s).
