Native from Paris, he graduated from Music Conservatory in Paris, Royal Music Conservatory in Brussels (percussions) and Soloist Postgraduate studies (marimba) in Royal Music Conservatory of Antwerp. Is a laureate of “Prix Luffin” in Brussels, prize of The Sir Georges Solti Foundation in London and the winner of many prizes such as VII and VIII International Competition of Contemporary Chamber Music of K. Penderecki (Cracow, I and II prize), International Marimba Competition (Belgium, II prize). MUSICIAN : he has performed with many artists, band and orchestras, among the others he participated in tournee with Craig Armstrong’s band (Massive Attack) or Anne Pierle. From 2001 member of AXOUM DUO COMPOSER: Besides career of performer musician, he composes music for different types of vision forms, creates arrangements and leads composition activity - orchestral, instrumental, voice, arrangements etc. Gabriel Collet is a Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Scholarship Laureate (to write the Concerto for 2 marimbas and orchestra "Conversation with a stone", insipired by poetry of Nobel Prize Wisława Szymborska) , premiered in july 2017 LATEST PROJECTS: - Returning Lives - China- Australia - music for the hand-drawn animation - "Seasons in animal life"; Animal Planet channel (soundrack - composer and performer) - Music for children „A frog in Africa” (Burda Publishing)
