James Wallace, better known by his stage name, Fenix, was born in San Bernardino, CA , but represents the Grand Canyon state of Arizona. Having picked up the pen in 2009, the 32 year-old artist has been very intent on making his brand of music, and doing it the only way he knows how. With the help of affiliates such as Drew Makes Beats and Parish Carter, and a successfully funded Kickstarter campaign, Fenix released his 2015 mixtape, We Made Clouds, a joint effort with frequent collaborator and fellow artist, Mikey AK. Fenix has a clear range of influences such as Kanye West and Jay-Z to T.I. and other southern Hip-Hop acts, not to mention Sade, Lenny Kravitz and Pink Floyd, and he incorporates a number of styles and content into his product. After collaborating with acts such as Smoke DZA, THEBLKHANDS and Three 6 Mafia, Fenix looks to give the world his own solo effort with the newly release, Made. In Phoenix. Evidenced by singles like "Where I’m From', 'High Stakes ', and 'PSA II', the Made. rapper is showing that independent acts are just as viable as major ones, while maintaining a focus on the technical side of Hip-Hop, he creates accessible music that encapsulates the life the rapper lives and brings to you through his music
