Eric Lamont Eric Hall (December 18, 1991) better known by his stage name as Eric Lamont is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born and raised in Washington DC to Alfreda Thompson and Eric Lorenzo Hall Sr. Eric’s family would move to Cheltenham Maryland in hopes of an improved surrounding. At age of 12 Eric would eventually find his passion with music, as he became inspired by legends such as Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Earth Wind and Fire, and Michael Jackson. He would annoy his parents and siblings by cutting the music up loud, so the whole house can hear it and dance in front of the mirror all day. Eric began rapping by the age of 17, although it was off to a rough start. Eric had a love for football, but wasn’t inspired to play after leaving home for Ferrum College in 2009. He would then transfer to Prince Georges Community College and notice his skills as an emcee began to increase and started writing heavily. He would help form a group called Star Elite in 2010 that included himself band members Michael Jones, Antwon Edelen, and Tommy Peterson. As the group subsequently disbanded Eric Lamont and Big Tom would create songs as a duo and continue to work on their individual work. Eric is currently creating a project with Big Tom entitled My Brother’s Keeper as well as his solo debut mixtape Awkward Silence; both is scheduled for a 2016 release.
