Andre Merritt began his career in the music industry as a motivated singer/songwriter starting from his hometown of Compton, CA. His first single written, hit the airwaves in 2006 with Marques Houston’s “Favorite Girl”. He then followed with and even bigger hit “Entourage” performed by Omarion, which garnered interests from almost every major publishing company in the industry. After landing a publishing deal with Universal Andre then went on to write hits for some of the music business biggest artist such as "Forever" by Chris Brown which went #1 in the US “Disturbia” by Rihanna which also went #1. Andre also went on to write International hits as well biggest being “Fight For This Love” by X-Factor superstar judge Cheryl Cole and "Turn Up The Music" by Chris Brown. Andre has had numerous top 10’s on the charts. He has now worked with and is currently working with such artists as Chris Brown, Rihanna, Cheryl Cole, Natasha Bedingfield, Kanye West, Kelly Rowland, Black Eyed Peas, Willow Smith, Jason Derulo, Melanie Fiona, Alexandra Burke, JLS, Usher and so on...
