Balto plays unbridled american rock’n’roll – steeped in the mythology of the legendary songwriters and Motown's almighty groove. Biting cynicism, instant classics, rip-your-heart-out live energy, a willingness to swagger, rip hard, and live behind the beat. After a busy 2015-16 that saw several festival appearances, an Alaska tour, a Russia solo tour (Dan only), and the release of a 7" Vinyl, Balto has put the finishing touches on its next full length LP. Recorded over a two week period in rural Oregon, the album is a mind-bending coming of age for the band, from pensive, anxious minimalism to boozy, balls-out wailing. The lead single, CA LUV, dropped in late August, while 'Born Astray' and it's woozy music video were released in October.
