Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Courtney Cooper is a singer and songwriter who is forging her own alternative R&B sound. Although she grew up listening to 90s artists such as Timbaland and Missy Elliott, she went to study jazz at Berklee College Of Music. Boosting her hip-hop influences, she also draws inspiration from the rich R&B of Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu. ​ Cooper effortlessly adds a buttery, 90s-soaked R&B nectar with her creamy vocals, dunked in luscious soulfulness, perfectly complimenting lavish funk beats and 70s-dipped electric guitars.
