Christian Vinciguerra

About

Christian Vinciguerra is a musician and composer passionate about cinema. He has a diploma in piano from the conservatory of Cuneo and a doctorate in modern arts with history and cinema critique from the University of Pavia, Italy. He currently lives in Nice, France, where he is part of several music groups in very different styles: from 40’s Jazz to 60s/70s Hard Rock. Christian is also one of the founding members of the Running Birds, with whom he had performed as the supporting act for many international stars: ZZ Top, Status Quo, Deep Purple and many others. In the last few years, he has been working with several French and Italian cinema associations, for whom he composed music for short films and documentaries. Putting music to picture is the next logical step for a musician that has been always passionate about cinema. In doing so, he continues to explore and to invest himself in many varied musical styles; yet his own style, which remains firmly rooted, inspired directly by the Goblins and 70’s Progressive Rock, lends an original touch to his work.
