Christian Stahr is a versatile Norwegian composer, orchestrator, and music director based in Cary, NC, known for crafting captivating musical experiences. He holds advanced degrees from the University of Oslo, the Norwegian Academy of Music, and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he specialized in Musical Theatre Writing.
His career began with a prestigious role in His Majesty the King’s Guard, performing for the Norwegian Royal Family and receiving the King’s Guard Grant for his outstanding contributions. With over 20 years of experience, he has composed and orchestrated for diverse projects, including the opening ceremony of Fredrikstad City’s 450th Anniversary and productions with Burning Coal Theatre, PlayMakers Repertory Theatre, and Raleigh Little Theatre.
Christian’s blend of creative and technical expertise is reflected in musicals such as Let’s Be Frank, You Can’t Sing, and The Call. His musical Olav den Heldige was a centerpiece of the St. Olaf Festival in Norway, and as co-founder of Teater4Real, he helped launch Norway’s first musical theatre festival with the debut show 4Real.
