I started playing guitar at an early age, of course pursuing a career as a rock star. I never really got into the music my Dad wanted me to learn, it just wasn't cool enough. He told me you'll get older and realize there is more to this music than you think. Well he was right, and I am glad he was, I only wish I would have gotten into his style of music while he was here. Stylistically, The music of BWS is like John Prine, and Pink Floyd was mixed into a great big pot of ham and beans and served up with a side Hank Williams as the cornbread to keep it together. To me, it is all about the story and the feelings that the listener can experience from what you've created. If you don't have anything to say, then why say anything at all. Unfortunately, today's country isn't really country and doesn't really say anything. To me, music is about sharing the experience, smelling the fresh cut hay, driving down a dirt road, or reliving an experience with a loved one. The vision and intention of my music, is to share it with the world so if someone is feeling the same emotions I am, hopefully, they can enjoy it if it's a good memory or not have to relive it alone if it's bad.
