BADI ASSAD is a fantastic guitar player, singer-songwriter from Brasil, revealed as one of the most complete and virtuoso artists of her generation. With 13 albums released worldwide (“Wonderland”, 2006, was selected among the 100 Best from the prestigious BBC London and was also included among the 30 Best on Amazon.com) Badi was selected (with artists such as Ben Harper and Ani DiFranco) as one of the guitarists that would revolutionize the world (Guitar Player).
Badi already worked with artists such as Bob McFerrin, Yo-Yo-Ma, Sarah McLaughlin and already performed in some of the most prestigious International Festivals.
Her latest CDs: ‘Between Love and Luck’ (2013) and a project for kids ‘Cantos de Casa’ (2014) gave her the first prize for the ‘USA International Songwriting Competition’ with her song ‘Pega no Coco’, The Best Composer of the Year for ‘APCA’ (BR) and Best Children’s CD of the Year for ‘Troféu Cata-Vento’ (BR). In 2014 the Brazilian Rolling Stones Magazine selected Badi among the best 70 guitar players from Brazilian History! Being the only female of her generation.
Nowadays Badi prepares to record her 14º and writes musical articles for the online TOP magazine.
