South coast four piece Arcade Hearts will release their brand new single ‘Get Close’ on the 22nd September via AWAL, the follow up to this year’s previous release, ‘Y U?’ ‘Get Close’ perfectly captures the band’s unique indie electro pop sound, with soaring vocals, thunderous drums and an irresistible melodic nous. Speaking about the track, lead singer Dan said: “We self produced and tracked this record ourselves, and wrote it after coming off of our first headline tour. The highs from the shows, to going back to the daily work grind, really highlighted the instagram/social media culture that we thrived off of after shows. The feeling of being in touch with everyone during the shows, but then ironically being disconnected with how you feel when going back to normality.” The single comes on the back of a hectic 2019 for the band. At the beginning of the year Huw Stephens played their track ‘Different Place’ on his BBC Radio 1 ‘Ones To Watch’ show. This was followed by a sold out headline show at Southampton’s Joiners, support slots with SPINN, performances at Hit The North and Liverpool Sound City, 110 Above Festival, the aforementioned release of ‘Y U,’ plus headlining a stage at the Isle Of Wight Festival.
