Anita Micova

About

Born during the spring of ’85 in Struga, a lovely town on the Ohrid Lake in Macedonia, Anita started singing since she was a child. Anita debuted in 2010’s Macedonian Idol finale, during that period she recorded singles such as “Do Den Denes” (2009) and “Ne si za mene” (2010) thereby achieving the status of a remarkable singer. The next year, 2011, Anita moved to Venetian Riviera (Italy) where she performed mostly in Venice and Bibione as a piano solo artist. In summer 2016 she finally came back to her homeland, Macedonia, with the hit single “Dva Zivoti” (Two lifes) opening the path to the debut solo album “Ti Sum Jas” (a conceptual name that means approximately “You are me”). “Ti Sum Jas” is described by Anita as a heartwarming, soulful and positive energy album which includes chill out, bossa nova, jazz elements played and arranged by some of the most talented musicians of the Balkan region. After a heavy snowfall during January 2017, surprisingly, Anita published the second single of “Ti Sum Jas” by the title “Sneg” (“Snow”). New songs and singles will come in the close future. The third, and most anticipated, single “Bidi Dobar” (Be good) hits on February 2017, led by an amazing video.
