Pacific Oaks started hitting and strumming all sorts of musical instruments since he was 6 years old. A multi-instrumentalist, he started with the piano and has since picked up the guitar, bass, drums, viola, violin, and ukulele.
The diversity of the instruments he plays seeps into his music. Songs can range for minimally bare to lushly orchestrated. Growing up, he jammed to traditional Korean folk as a child, seethed on punk rock as a teenager, and played in school orchestras through college. As such, his music carries a honed in eclecticism - a kitchen sink of different genres that, in the end, sustain one distinct style.
Pacific Oaks' music has been featured in national campaigns for Toyota, Dell, and Reeses among others.
